Musical Beginnings: I started playing from my sister's piano books at age 5. Those first attempts and my love of singing were significant. Formal studies with a teacher began at age 7.
Music Education: I studied with Denis Moffat at Moody Bible Institute where I graduated with a degree in sacred music. I then continued at the American Conservatory of Music earning a degree in piano performance while studying with Denis Moffat and William Browning. My main emphasis is on teaching piano lessons but have also taught K-6 general music classes, classroom music theory for middle schoolers. I've also conducted children, high school and adult choirs, and accompanied choirs and soloists. I currently teach privately, play in churches and accompany students for UIL competition.
I was born with the "teacher gene" and love teaching music! Music feeds my soul.
